US HOUSE - MARYLAND'S 1ST DISTRICT
GUIDICE FOR
OUR FUTURE
ABOUT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE

Please join me in this fight. A fight that we can win. Volunteer, donate what you can, and for the love of God, go out and vote.
For more than a century and four generations, Guidices have lived and worked quiet and honest lives in Maryland’s First District, as veterinarians, cobblers, police, watermen, entrepreneurs. I have lived and worked around the Chesapeake Bay, on land and on water. I am now a husband and father, and I can be quiet no longer. I can not and will not stand by to see my family live in a world where their liberty and freedom is curtailed. I will not allow our country to fall into an authoritarian dictatorship. We are at that inflection point now. Evil prevails when good men do nothing.
Having to adapt to a constantly changing job market, I have had to teach myself the skills necessary to match my desire for success. Job insecurity, homelessness, and food insecurity are just some of the challenges I’ve had to face and overcome. I know what struggle feels like in our country. My experiences make me acutely aware of the problems facing our communities. My sole focus as your representative will be on you and your families, and creating the solutions to move us forward and out of these dark times.
FOR MD - 01
POLICY
LOWER COST
OF LIVING
There are many factors that contribute to our increased cost of living right now, among them obviously energy, food, and fuel prices. The way that we approach energy, we are subsidizing defunct nuclear power stations that do not contribute to the grid. We are ignoring the potential daily energy harvest that is solar power. We must diversify our energy portfolio without discounting traditional sources of energy like coal and natural gas. We must democratize our annual energy harvest at the local level. Solar energy is clearly our least expensive method of producing the energy that we need now. Dollar for dollar, solar energy will become our best and longest lasting choice in the future.
UNIVERSAL
CHILD CARE
One of the greatest costs to young families is childcare. It affects every aspect of their lives. Their ability to contribute to the workforce is greatly diminished when one parent or more must choose to be at home as a result of being unable to afford child care. If we wish to invest in our nation’s future, there possibly is no better way than to invest in childcare.
UNIVERSAL
HEALTH CARE
The tax driven universal health care system will put money in our pockets and ensure health care for all people of all ages.
RESTORATION OF
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
Civil rights are gained in miles and lost in inches. For years our freedom and liberty have been chipped away at. It stops now. In one voice we must say, “No more.”
EMPLOYABLE SKILLS FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADS
Vocational training, industrial arts, home economics, civics, and financial literacy, just to name a few, have been abandoned by our educational system. We used to treat our high school students with respect; we used to treat them as though they were adults in training. This must be a practice again; we must be preparing our high school graduates for the real world.
UNIVERSAL HIGHER
EDUCATION
We need doctors, scientists, educators, philosophers, artists, from all walks of life, not just the upper class who can afford higher education today. Scholarships are not enough. Higher education needs to be accessible and free for all to pursue.
